We are looking for working students who enjoy software development and are particularly confident in the Python environment. Experience in other text-based programming languages is an advantage (especially C++). Depending on the project, working with LabVIEW may also play a role (but is not essential).
A structured and reliable way of working is important to us. You should be able to work through issues independently and comprehensibly, familiarize yourself with existing software projects, and contribute your fundamental knowledge of modern software architecture. Git should not be a foreign concept to you. You should also be able to navigate legacy code well when it comes to fixing bugs. Experience with databases is also desirable.
Since we develop customer-specific solutions, you should also be able to quickly familiarize yourself with our customers' various technical domains in order to develop a deep understanding of the requirements and implementation of the software.
Experience with the Qt framework would be desirable.
Merecs Engineering GmbH specializes in the development and construction of testing systems and software. We support customers from sectors such as medical technology, automotive suppliers, electronics manufacturers, heat pump manufacturers, and companies in the aerospace industry.
Our projects are therefore very diverse, and the work we do is varied and always technically interesting. Our team, which has grown slowly and works together seamlessly, is characterized by a high level of technical expertise, a friendly working atmosphere, and teamwork that is practiced in everyday work. This is the foundation that enables us to continue to deliver the top quality to our customers that has been the basis for the company's growth to date.
Looking back on the company's history, we have had virtually no staff turnover, and a large part of our team joined us through working student positions. Enjoying our work and offering permanent employment are therefore our goals. You will receive on-the-job training from your colleagues, working hours are flexible, and remuneration is adjusted according to performance.
If overtime is required, it can either be paid out or compensated for at a later date in the form of time off in lieu. Drinks are available during working hours and, upon agreement, other perks such as a company bicycle and similar benefits are also possible. The workplace can be customized and a high proportion of remote work is possible. We also provide laptops, monitors, and other technical equipment.
If desired, we would also like to support you in your further professional development in the form of training courses (e.g., LabVIEW, EPLAN, ISTQB, SCRUM, and much more).
